Editing Overview
If you are uncertain how to edit the pages you see here, you can go to the help page, found HERE. You can also just click the 'edit' tab on top and start typing.
You can use the little buttons on top of the editing window, just highlight the text and click the appropriate button.
Remember, these are community pages, ANYONE can edit them for a reason, don't be afraid to edit! Just remember to separate opinion from 'fact'. For example, if there is an article labeled 'RTS game design', then you can add anything that you think will make the game better. But if you want to dispute some element of the design, put your comments in the 'discussion' page, first, until it is resolved. The history of all the changes to every page is stored on the site, so if you make a mistake, it can be undone.
If you want to learn the syntax, to do more advanced things, here is a brief starter guide:
Signing
If you write an editorial, an 'opinion' article, then you should sign it at the bottom as being written by you. If you do not, then it runs the risk of being edited. You can sign a section or page by clicking the little SIGN button in the button bar above the edit window. It is the second one from the right.
Likewise, if a page or a section is 'signed' by someone, you should not edit it (save for typographical and formatting changes)
Drawing Attention to your Changes
If you want to let people know that you have added a new article, then you can post a link to it on the Current events or this, the 'main' page.
To create a new page
Creating a new page is almost exactly like creating a link (see below). Just figure out which page you want your new page to be linked from and put a link to your new page on there (give it a descriptive, but not too long title), for example:
Some New Page
will create a link like this:
Some New Page
Then, you can click on that link and begin editing your new page!
Paragraphs
Make sure you insert a blank line between paragraphs, or it will appear as one big paragraph. Also, any 'single' linewraps will be ignored.
Bold Text
This text is bold
will appear like this:
This text is bold
Italic Text
This text is italic
will appear like this:
This text is italic
To create a link
Just put it inside of double bracket characters, eg:
games
it will create a link that looks like this:
games
Categorization of Pages
Where it makes sense to categorize a page, you can put a navigation link at the very bottom, like this:
---- top category > .... > grandparent category > parent category >
see World of Warcraft for an example.
You can also add a wikimedia category tag at the bottom of the page as follows:

This would add the page on which this tag was placed as part of the Games category.
